2021 Petite Sirah- $42/$33.60

14.5 ABV/89 Cases/Garre Vineyards

100% Petite Sirah/Barrel aged for 20 months in 33% New European Oak

The color is a deep garnet. Blackberry, blueberry, black cherry and plum fill the bouquet. In addition you will find restrained oak and earthy notes, hints of black pepper, black tea, smoke and vanilla. Ripe dark fruits coat the palate and the fruit, acid, tannin balance provides a full and rich mouth feel. Subtle oak and spice undertones add complexity and depth. Dark fruit, complementary spice notes, restrained oak and approachable tannins provide a well-balanced and lingering finish and medium to medium plus intensity.

2021 Primitivo- $37/$29.60

41.1 ABV/87 cases/Garre Vineyards

100% Primitivo/Aged 20 months in 30% new European Oak

The color is a brilliant ruby. The bouquet is full of dark fruit of berry and cherry and fig. There are earthy notes with spice undertones of nutmeg, cinnamon and white pepper. The palate is bright and fruit forward, medium body with layers of flavor. It is consistent with the bouquet plus a hint of vanilla. It’s complex, but not heavy with “jammy” nuances. The finish is rustic with lingering fruit, spice, oak and tannins.

2021 Sangiovese $35.00/$28.00

13.8 ABV/71 Cases/Del Valle Vineyard

100% Sangiovese/Barrel aged for 20 months 33% New European Oak

This wine is an absolutely beautiful opaque deep maroon in the glass with a very smoky/earthy nose and a palate opening immediately to a deep plummy/figgy beginning. With a bit of time and aeration in the glass, the palate grows and deepens to the addition of campfire smokiness and an almost mushroom earthiness.  The wine is rich and deep and has a refined profile which is greatly enhanced by the winemaker’s careful control of tannins and acidity which leads to an exceptionally sophisticated complexity while remaining velvety and gentle.
